Principal Job Responsibilities: Provide Consumer and Market Insight to key stakeholders in Iberia Affiliate to further enhance ELC’s brand leadership. Through integrating consumer research, CRM data, socio-economic, competitor, digital, syndicated, trade and industry information, CI will be fuelling go-to-market strategies and operational marketing and sales excellence. • Provide Best-In-Class integrated information and insight to improve the success of current marketing, consumer and shopper initiatives and forecasting in Iberia. • Provide training and coaching to increase consumer and market insight knowledge in the Affiliate. • Help to provide insights and to translate them into actions and decisions to generate growth in the brands. • Work with regional and global colleagues to ensure that (i) local learning is appropriately incorporated at these levels and (ii) relevant regional/global learning is shared in the Affiliate. Core Competencies: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; an MBA, MS or MA or equivalent is highly desirable. Knowledgeable in quantitative methods/statistics, psychology, sociology, marketing, or related fields Background Exceptional analytical thinking, influencing and communication skills. Works well in a collaborative environment and in a matrix reporting line with the ability to align key stakeholders in a timely manner. Service and results focused, proactive and able to manage a heavy workload with competing priorities. Strong mastery of marketing and sales processes and consumer dynamics in prestige/beauty environment. Must exhibit good business judgment, good negotiation skills and be able to quickly gain the respect of the team and key executives. Demonstrated ability to convert multi-source information into actionable insights. Demonstrated knowledge of the application, interpretation and integration of CRM, syndicated, attitudinal, competitor, and socio-economic data in a business environment. Demonstrated ability to craft and deliver clear and succinct briefings to all levels of the business. Must be proficient in MS Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. Work Experience Minimum of 4 to 6 years of consumer insights experience; combination of experience at CPG companies as well as vendor, agency or consultancy business experience. Ideally a general marketing experience ”on top of” would be very valuable. Thorough understanding of quantitative research methods, market intelligence and analytics. Fluent in Spanish and English. Preferred candidate presently should be able to work in Spain. • Skilled in interpreting and extracting consumer insights and communicating in a motivating way to non-technical audiences. • Must be able to understand and interpret information/data, to translate into correct business implications. Must be able to combine and reconcile information from a wide range of sources – custom research and syndicated, secondary sources
